Volunteer Recognition - 2024

Do you know an outstanding volunteer?  

Nominate them for a Volunteer Award by February 29, 2024. 

National Volunteer Week is April 14 to 20, 2024.  

The week is an opportunity to celebrate the vibrancy and impact of volunteerism in our community. To recognize our volunteers, The Town of Bridgewater is calling on its residents and community groups to nominate volunteers for two streams of awards: 

1) Provincial Volunteer Awards 

These awards recognize achievement and volunteer services by individuals, teams, or groups who, through their efforts and/or accomplishments, have enhanced the image of or have made a significant contribution to the Town of Bridgewater. 

The recipient of this award will represent our community at the Provincial Volunteer Awards Ceremony held in Halifax in September. 

To nominate someone for a provincial award, please fill out the most appropriate nomination form:

• Representative (Individual, Couple, or Group) Volunteer Nomination Form - Recognizes an individual, couple, or group who have made a significant contribution to our community through their volunteer efforts.
  
  
• Volunteer Family Award Nomination Form - Recognizes a family who has demonstrated outstanding and consistent care for the improvement of our community.
  
  
• Corporate Volunteer Award Nomination Form - Recognizes a corporation that has made a significant contribution to our community through employee volunteerism.

2) Local Appreciation Awards 

We’re asking all volunteer organizations to think of two standout members from their board or committees who you would like to see recognized for their efforts. Local Appreciation Award recipients will receive a special thank you gift from the Town.
